Dr. Shutty is a native of western Pennsylvania. He graduated from Geibel high school in Connellsville, Pa. He is an alumnus of John Carroll University in Cleveland, Ohio earning a bachelors degree in biology. After attending the University of Pittsburgh School of Dental Medicine Dr. Shutty started his dental practice in West Newton. Dr. Shutty was a past president of the mid-Mon Valley dental society. He is a member of the American Dental Association, the Pennsylvania Dental Association, and the Western Pennsylvania Dental Society. He is continuingly educating himself and his staff in the newest dental techniques and approaches in order to provide you with state of the art, comfortable, personalized, and excellent dental care.

Dr Shutty pursues numerous hours of continuing education through courses and seminars each year to stay abreast with the newest advances in dentistry.

Dr. Shutty is married to Diane Shott Shutty and they have two sons who are Physicians. Dr. Christopher Shutty is a board certified anatomic and clinical Pathologist in Brooklyn, New York. Dr. Brandon Shutty is a board certified Dermatologist at PHDermatology in Palm Harbor, Florida.

Dr. Shutty enjoys spending time with his family and friends and cherishes his family vacations as he loves to travel. Dr. Shutty is a member of St. Edward Parish in Herminie, PA.
